“I can't praise Gillian Welch enough. And this is one of the best songs on "Hell among the Yearlings." In timbre, tempo and style it reminds me very much of Nick Cave and Johnny Cash's cover of Elvis Presley's "I'm So Lonesome I could Cry." Fans of Cash and Cave's more traditional work should give this a try.”

“Many of the songs on "Hell Among the Yearlings" are quiet and contemplative arrangements of traditional songs. "Honey Now" is an excellent contrast to these pieces. In this song Welch proves that Rockabilly also fits her like a glove. The guitar on this song is to die for.”

“Missa Johnouchi and the Li-Hua Orchestra have few recs so far, and this is a travesty. Their second album "Asian Wind" is a gorgeous mix of piano solos and traditional Chinese instruments, a moving, soothing fusion of the sounds of East and West, past and present. It's perfect music for creating art - I listen to it while writing all the time.”
