“Mirrors are a unique (and highly underrated) protopunk band with crystallized elements of other punk acts combined (usually unintentionally) to novel effect. This LP's title track is a great example, sounding like an odd hybrid of The Damned and James Chance and the Contortions. If you like this, you'll dig the whole LP.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Aug 19, 2008:

“A delightfully odd song with a head-nodding percussive payoff if you hold out long enough.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Aug 19, 2008:

“A poppy, electronically ecstatic track that stands apart from the Monkey songs preceding it.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on May 19, 2008:

“I met my girlfriend at an Interpol concert, and this was the standout song of the night. Infectious and sexy in a predatory way, a great example of the group at their best.”

“Electronicy intro moves into a soft, sad duet.”

“Delightfully depressing.”

“If you own one track from Replicas, make it this one. An amazingly solid example of early Gary Numan genius, harsh and synthy in all it's glory.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Mar 3, 2008:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“I originally heard this on Pete Paphide's Times Sounds podcast, and it is definitely the most pointed track on the record. Great song, especially lyrically.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Mar 3, 2008:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“Very singular guitar playing on this, definitely a poppier-Pavement feel here.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Jan 28, 2008:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“Despite the fact that I'm a white, suburban indie kid at heart, I love blues, and this performance is stellar. Voice and harmonica with soul, heavy bass guitar, fantastic.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Nov 9, 2007:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“This and "Jubilation" were contenders for best song in the band's set when I saw them open for Black Francis in Eugene. Fantastic, but I wouldn't expect any less for them! Buy the whole record; hell, buy two.”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Nov 9, 2007:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“I can't recommend this group enough, and this particular song is an excellent introduction. It exhibits the band's tightness, vocal interplay and distinctive song structures. How could you not like this?”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Nov 9, 2007:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“The punkest track on the record, Via Audio's "Enunciation" attracts with it's stuttered guitars and seduces with the physical space between vocalist and listener. ”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Jul 17, 2007:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“Despite Icelandic reviews, bob's "dod qoq pop" will probably alienate some viewers as a whole, but any off-kilter rock fan can appreciate the thoughtful deconstruction recorded on this track. If you're a fan of noise-rock (Sonic Youth, Pavement, My Bloody Valentine) or late 90s Blur b-sides, give it a shot!”
tylersticka Rec'd this on Jul 17, 2007:
Street Cred: 524 Rec's: 30
“This song's interplay of vocalists backed by alternating pedal steel (or a reasonable facsimile) and harder, punchier guitars is infectious and extremely effective. Great!”
