“Personally, I have a fondness for catchy pop songs that sound like they were created in someone's bedroom, with overdubs and production magic making for a fuller sound than one person (or two people, in this case) should be able to manage. This is a pop gem, full of diverse musical elements, voice filtering that joins Prince-falsetto with Marilyn-Manson-style growling and yet still maintaining a cohesive, funky whole. I'm looking forward to hearing more from newvillager.”

“"Echinacea" opens with the sound of an appreciative crowd, its applause then transformed into a hand-clap percussion coupled with jazzy percussion and delightful female vocals. An enchanting pop song with enough atypical elements to keep those normally allergic to pop interested.”

“A creepy, dubstep-style monster of a track which incorporates delightfully scary dialogue samples from classic cyberpunk/horror computer game System Shock. "We are many and you are alone. How can you hope to prevail?" A good question. Join us. Join us!”

“If you like to listen to Hawaiian music, and hear sounds to help you visualize both a set of hula dancers AND a zombie breathing in your ear, then this is the track for you. Perfectly pleasant ukulele music with Halloween sound effects layered on top. Leaves you to wonder "Why would a poltergeist yell at me to 'Get out' when I'm just eating my kalua pork and minding my own business?"”

“Ever wonder what Elvis' "Blue Hawaii" would have sounded like if it was a zombie film? In this brilliant, high concept album, pleasant ukulele pieces are layered over by screams of terror, spooky laughs, and everything you'd need to have an island Halloween. I dunno, it cracks me up. Especially this track, where it sounds like one of the "monsters" gets a coughing fit. Hilarious and strange!”
