This is Vice aka Vicious Integrated City Environment. An MC from Birmingham with a true passion for Hip Hop. Vice has been MCing (properly!)since 1999, and since then has been concentrating on honing his skills and truely understanding the art and background of rapping and hip hop. Vice is a part of the Micrippers crew, who formmed in Lincoln, UK in 2002. The crew consists of Halo, Geo-Graphic, JD Sykex, Venom, Supreme Ila and an ever growing extended family. The crew are working on solo joints for a while but hoping to get back together soon. In 2005 Vice finished his full debut album, entitled Visions, however it was held back for a while to create his current release entitled "The Tales Of A Street Poet". This entails all the styles Vice has been trying out recently, and various collaborations, with both beatsmiths and lyricists. V is now working on promoting himself and his label. Sportmonkey created a great website - www.v-i-c-e.com - and Vice is now concentrating on developing called Streetsoul Productions (Record label), aswell as working with a variety artists from around the World.
When asked the reasons as to why Vice sees his music as his future, and furthermore what inspires him, he returned with this answer;
"I guess, after all's said and done, I just want to leave my own mark on Hip Hop, I don't claim to be great, I am simply attempting to create original music with varying lyrical styles and sounds. If one person in 50 years time says "i wana hear that classic vice joint!" then my work is complete! On the real though, my inspirations include my beautiful girlfriend Erin, who without her I never would have stayed motivated and pushed forward, my mum, who has always had undeniable faith and belief in me no matter what i want to achieve, and Halo, my biggest rhyming influence, who gave me the confidence to get my lyrics heard and put me on the early Mic-rippers joints. My friend Nathan who is overseas in China doing the teaching biz at the moment, Im proud of him. Furthermore, Akin, along with Nathan, have looked after me through everything that has happened to me and treat me as their brother. Everyone i know and everything I have done influences me, so hopefully I will be able to continue to push forward with this. check out www.v-i-c-e.com"
The Tales Of A Street Poet is the first release from both Vice and Streetsoul Productions. The project was originally intended as a mixtape, but as the tracks progressed and more links formed, an overall vibe started to form. When Vice made a mix CD of the tracks for label mate R.E.P, it was obvious that this was intended to be more than a mixtape. So more records were created, incorporating new found producers Kroscene (OYM Records) from Birmingham, and Tomo, a new producer from Ipswich. Alongside these talented beat-makers, Vice had been forming a strong friendship with Rise (Digisoul Records), from Manchester. Sharing a joint love of true Hip Hop, the duo worked on a variety of concepts, which led to Rise creating an intro and outro for "The Tales Of A Street Poet". The duo is already working on a joint album, set for release in 2007. Along with producers, Vice has also featured Streetsoul label mate, and long time friend, Halo, talented singer/MC Aggro from Get Raggz in Ipswich, and Solo Cipher, from Birmingham based crew, Vocalswords. The Project is intended as an intro for Vice, to show differing aspects of his personality, as well as exhibit just a few of his styles of MCing and producing. With the strong title representing Vice's ethics and Vision as an artist, this is just the start of things to come for him and for the Streetsoul Productions camp.

“This is a great instrumental soul-banger. WIth a J-Dilla style of chopping breaks, blended with an old skool boombap drum backing, the track bursts in with a great vocal sample, but thats only the start of it!
The breakdown is heavy, with different fades and cuts layering vocal tracks, this is a heavy beat for any MC minded individual!
I was cut between this and dreams, but this just won out!
props Steve, keep em coming!

“This song is incredible!
Starting with some subtle keys, some strings burst the track into life. The smooth voice of the singer outlines the track in an intro/hook style, bringing the track title into context. When the first MC finally starts the mood is already in place, and thankfully he only builds the vibe. A verse transferred directly from the heart to the mic, with some ill metaphors along the way. My favourite part of the track has to be the outro, where the singer is vibing out, and the strings are goin wild! I LOVE THIS SONG! and im really picky!”

“I'm 10 minutes in this almost 40minute RJD2 megamix. Needless to say its dope, but for 0.32cents, ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!. I feel like I stole music without doing anything wrong. Let the track play on.”
