“The term "industrial music" has lost it's meaning over decades of misappropriation. But I think this album by Matt Heckert is the sort of thing Genesis P-Oriidge had in mind when he coined the term back in the mid 70's. Industrial music for industrial people. These recordings come from live performances in Europe and the USA in 1992-1994.”

“This entire album is great support for meditation. I often find it difficult to quiet the mind during meditation. Ambient, non-musical sound helps get me in the "zone". However, I find that most ambient albums have a sort of new age vibe that just doesn't sit well with me. Deep Frieze is perfect.”

“This track meanders through passages of rhythmic noise, dark ambient, musique concrete, and IDM. Those who have the patience to sit quietly and REALLY listen for 25 minutes will be justly rewarded. It’s worth the trip. ”

“It's awesome that Randy Greif's 5CD epic (originally released on Staalplaat in 1991-93) is available here in it's entirety. Randy ranks right up there with Nurse With Wound and other great audio surrealists. The story of Alice in Wonderland (appropriated from an old british LP recording) provides a perfect platform from which Randy dives deep into the human psyche. This track is a great representative sample.”

“I've really loved this short album since I found it in the 80s. Sexy, well written goth. I know I'm not going to get a lot of cred with this rec, but this band and album really deserve some recognition. Download any or all of these tracks!”

“Great voice & songs, with a medieval folk touch to the music. Better production than her other album on Amie St, professional sound.”

“Even better than the original, thanks to the sexy female vocs from Au Revoir Simone.”
