“Big strings on this track, combined with an almost Nancy Sinatra-esque vocals makes this sound like some alternate universe James Bond theme song. And in a good way! Especially with references to climbing walls and being chased in "the city of our fate." ”

“One of the funkiest basslines on this album, and Fatlip is joined by Chali 2na from the Jurassic Five. The chorus is raucous, Fatlip's raw voice joyously breaking while he sings. BIG tune.”

“If you haven't seen Spike Jonez's video for this song, you have to. Catchy hip hop as an ex-member of the Pharcyde talks about writer's block, feeling like a punk, wanting to do well for his family... while in the video he walks down the street almost naked in a trenchcoat pretending to be the crackhead rumors said he was. Fantastic tune.”

“Yes! I finally understand why the Carpenters existed! It was so that Karen's voice could live again in dub music, entering the room like a ghost, appearing like the birds that show up every time you draw near. You have to make it a minute in for Karen Carpenter to appear, but with dub this nice, it's an enjoyable, chill minute.”

“The Q>C Mix by K.O. of IQU's "Teenage Dream" is the best remix of this single. It starts with a strange melody that sounds like it's played on a saw, oddly Asian and hypnotic. And by the 3-minute mark, the drums start building in and by the end, you've got a full on drum-and-bass banger that'll move bodies at clubs or butts in seats. This is the jam! Trust me.”
