“In a whole album of bass-heavy, evil sounding dubstep tunes, "Skeng" featuring Killa P and Flowdan stands out as a BIG tune. Act like it's your subwoofer's birthday and get it this tune as a present. Seriously. ”

“HUGE dub sound from the mysterious production duo with the un-Googleable name, Various Production. To experience this track properly, you should be listening with subwoofers that are chest height. Maybe you don't have any of those. Strap on some really nice headphones and get lost in dub-space. Serious.”

“Don't care for what Portishead became? For the love of all that is good & holy, get your hands on this track. It's a beautiful, unholy alchemical baby born from a cauldron full of dubstep, trip-hop and regret.”

“A fantastic cover of a classic Nirvana track, Dani Siciliano's version of "Come As You Are" infuses the song with plenty of dread, a horn section adding low moans behind Dani's own. I love radical reinterpretations of songs where, if you didn't know it was a cover, you might spend half the song nodding along until it hits you... "Wait, those lyrics sound familiar!" A jazzy, dark, wonderful take on a grunge song. ”

“The Cold Krush Cuts album was actually two mixes, one by Coldcut, the other by DJ Krush, working through the Ninja Tune catalog in two continuous mixes. It's gorgeous stuff, but it's not worth buying track-by-track. Either buy the whole album (a great value), or if you just want Coldcut's mix, start with this track and finish with "Going Down." The duo known as Coldcut founded Ninja Tune, so if anyone's going to be your tour guide through the back catalog, it's them.”
