In 1995 I sold my home and used the money to hire 14 musicians to put together this collection of my own music "Crayon". I did not achieve my goal of supporting myself as a singer/songwriter but I am still proud of my work and will always view it a success. I was raised in the Rocky Mountains. My background in music includes country western, pop, rock and roll, classical and opera CRAYON by Ricky Kendall is a collection that has been classified as cultured big city rock with a country and jazz flair. A variety of sounds and instruments makes this CD an enjoyable experience and the lyrics relate to everyone. I start most of my music with one or two instruments and my vocal. I add more musicians and vocalists as the music progresses. This is an older format for music writing. Let the song build so you can hear the combined talents of some wonderful musicians.
