“Trey Anastasio's Time Turns Elastic is truly a masterpiece for this day and age where designations amongst genres are slowly disintegrating. Technically speaking, one could call this entire record a concerto for guitar-wielding singer/songwriter and orchestra. Obviously Trey is at the center of this large-scale work, but with a little help from composer Don Hart. This entire concerto aspires to essentially create a world around in a transportive and colorful way, and greatly succeeds in doing so. Nature is heavily evoked in the names of the movements I do think they work well with the imagery provided programmatically. The orchestra parts tend to be densely textured and Trey's solo guitar musings fit nicely amongst the psychedelic tapestry that the orchestra provides. His voice also finds its way through the backdrop quite effectively, however this is mostly due to the fact that one would not be accusstomed to hearing a voice like Trey's in a classical setting. This original acoustic sketch serves as a fine example of witnessing Trey in the act of crafting this universe, and also is a fine track in and of it self. Highly recommended”

“Pop Smear really has an infectious quality about it, and this song will get to you both lyrically and musically. Synth Pads swirl around you while a Europoppy arpeggio keeps the track moving along at a highly danceable pace. The whip-crack sounding 80's snare drum and dance break halfway through is also very likely to get you moovin and groovin. The lyrics are really something quite memorable, essentially she is obsessed with Lucifer who is presented as someone who makes life interesting. The chorus has a really fun poppy quality with some "Lucifer, I love you, please tell me, you do too." Its all presented very well and in a theatrical sort of fashion. This album really is worth checking out. I played it at a house party just kinda thrown in the mix and it had people lipsyncing/singing the words by the last chorus”

“More than a decade on, Global Underground still knows what's good in progressive house. With Kerri Chandler cooking up the original and Ben Klock on the remix, "Pong" alone will give you a survey of what today's "superstar" DJs are banging out - the rest of the 2-disc album just takes you that much deeper.”

“Breaking out of the decade-old dub techno mold, Yagya has an ear for song structure where his colleagues are content to focus on textures. Too subtle for a dance floor but too dance for a dinner party - this album is one you'll keep coming back to for the quiet moments you have to yourself.”

“If the Enterprise, the Millenium Falcon, and the Battlestar Galactica were to get in a fight, this song would win.”
