“Far too often, Coulton gets slotted into the "Parody" category, the territory established by the likes of Weird Al. Me, I'd say he's closer to Stephen Lynch in style and talent. But even this is unfair. Coulton has a pop sensibility that is lost on straight up comedic musicians. If a song comes to his head that is just good, just honest and maybe even sincere (like this one), he's not afraid to let it develop. "Drinking With You" isn't a knee-slapper. It's just a contemplation on those kinetic relationships that (almost) happen every single day, in every office around the world. ”
