“I'd recommend the whole album. They sound, to be honest, nothing like anything else, but they have a clanging, industrial sound that reverberates behind really beautiful, though always unexpected sweet melodies. Good stuff.”

“As I say for the album opener, I'm 'rec'ing the whole album, but I should say I particularly like this song.”

“I'll just provide text for the first song, though I'm going to rec the whole album. Really, really lovely. Mates with people like Cate Le Bon (who's also in Neon, Neon), Richard James and Euros Childs ex of Gorky's Zygotic Mynci. This sounds more American to me than the kind of Welsh Super Furries vibe from Cardiff, but in a really good way. The whole album's got that slightly off kilter feel that takes a singer songwriter from being average to being something really worth listening to, because it's not quite what you expect; it doesn't quite deliver up what you though it would. It's better than it really needs to be. For want of a better expression, if you like that kind of alt. folk sound that I associate, perhaps wrongly, with New York, but fancy hearing it filtered through different ears, you should really give this a go. I like it a lot.”

“These guys are really on to something. This sounds like a really catchy song you might hear in a commercial for something "hip", but with smart, quirky lyrics. Pop to be proud of!”
