I'm 36, mother to two teenagers (a daughter, 16, and a son, 13), and have been married for ten years to my best friend, Jay.

I love exploring, and often do it vicariously through my National Geographic and Flickr subscriptions. I love good food, would rather be in jeans, and suspect that I may be addicted to Diet Coke.

I am a visual communicator (photography, writing, design & layout) with a dollop of marketing thrown in for good measure, but I earn my keep as a technical writer for an oil field services company.

When I occasionally find the time to read, I like a good thriller, especially if it has a religious/mystic bent. (And yes, I liked the DaVinci code, but was reading this genre *way* before Dan Brown even thought about publishing his book.)

And of course, I love music. My husband, a bass player in a couple of local bands, turned me on to the joy of live performances about twelve years ago. Now we're out almost every weekend supporting our local music scene.
