“Classic "slow" Barenaked ladies.”

“I have been less enthralled with Barenaked Ladies lately than perhaps I once was, but they still consistently have a song or two on each album that I find enamoring. This is definitely one of them. Classic Barenaked Ladies through and through. Anyone who is a fan of their earlier work will be well pleased!”

“With only four songs on Amie, the jury is still out on Sami Akbari. But this first track stands out as solid pop, and would easily fit into any sing-along playlist.”

“The Mountain Goats consistently deliver great songwriting over an extensive body of work, and sometimes it's easy to miss some of their more obscure tracks. Alibi is one of these hidden treasures, and I highly recommend it to anyone beginning their exploration of The Mountain Goats' back catalog.”

“"Ox Baker Triumphant" is classic Mountain Goats: minimal production; highly original, intricate lyrics; solid melody. And there's plenty more where this came from: all of their albums are great collections of refreshingly sincere and delicately crafted music.”

“Quiet, brilliant, beautiful, "Woke Up New" is another perfect encapsulation of emotion from the Mountain Goats.”

“A quintessential summer driving song, Mary has hit single written all over it. You only have to listen to it once and you will be humming along. Highly recommended. ”

“Both of Virginia Coalition's studio albums are well worth exploring in their entirety, but Home This Year is a particularly accessible single-style song that will ease you into their style. Give it a few listens and I guarantee you'll be singing it to yourself. Highly recommended. ”

“Virginia Coalition is certainly one of the best bands you've never heard of (yet). Voyager II is a unique and interesting song that's easy to get into, but keeps getting better with every listen. Highly recommended for anyone who likes creative, melodic songwriting and clean, natural production. ”
