About Me

I'm Zane from the one and only one-man-band Zanois. I play mostly keyboard and bass...mostly. I also play banjo, guitar, drums, glockenspiel, and a whole bunch of other stuff. It sounds kind of like a mix of Grandaddy and Tony Orlando. If you took the year 1973, and had it organize an Indie Rock festival in a nebula in outerspace, that's what it would sound like.
You can download my music here on AmieStreet, at http://www.amiestreet.com/zanois
You can also check out my music at http://www.myspace.com/zanois, or go to our official website/blog at http://www.zanenoise.us.

I really enjoy playing at the Knights Of Columbus in Kingston, MA. For going to shows, the Doherty Auditorium in Andover is great, too.

Jimmy Tamborello-style glitch beats, clean tone guitar, vocoder, and regular drums all at once; this is the kind of thing you can come to expect from Mau Mau Starter. And it's just plain brilliant.

A hauntingly ominous, yet also beautiful, sine wave gets the introduction. When the full band comes in, you could say it sounds like if Bright Eyes were produced by Dave Fridmann. Everyone should list more…

Beginning with a lo-fi clip of an acoustic guitar and synth drums, reminiscent of early Daniel Johnston recordings, this song launches straight into a full-on electric stereo band. The perfect first t more…

A joyful, ukulele sing along beginning develops into one of the catchiest songs in the past decade. The song is drenched in beautiful vintage, buzzing synths. This whole album is definitely worth a li more…
