Broke as a joke with the love of my life, armed with my guitar and her drum we hit the streets, 6th street mostly playing as loud as any band with a full PA and a few stacks. I started hanging out cds to all the best bars. As soon as I started booking shows and things started to kick off, things came to an abrupt end with my relationship. I left her mothers house with a back pack full of crap, I couldn't bring my guitar because it was during the monsoon like weather they were having in Texas at the time. Not a dollar to my name no phone numbers and hundreds of miles from anyone I knew. I ended up back on 6th street, trying to figure out what I was going to do, where I was going to go, and how. I have spent alot of time on the streets in my life but for the first time in my life I was completly alone. For three days I slept in a gazebo just off of 6th street by the Colorado River 50 yards from the statue of Stevie Ray Vaughn. I found myself in the third day hungry, tired, and wet, sitting at the feet of Stevies' statue, it was then that I decided that enough was enough, this is my time to shine. Later that night I had a feeling to go to 6th street again before it got late. I ran into a kid named Jeff who had just hopped a flight to Austin from Olympia Washington and was stranded because his ride had taken too many mushrooms and couldn't pick him up. He asked me where a good bar was with cheep beer, I told him the Library, he asked me if I wanted a beer, I said yes. We spent the rest of the night hopping from bar to bar and ended up at a blues bar where we made the entire place get off their feet and dance to the music. After the bar we went back to the gazebo and fell asleep. The next morning he turned to me and asked "what are you doing here?' I had no answer. So that morning we walked out of the Austin City limits on foot, and this was the beginning of my 47 state lines in 16 months. Playing everywhere possible bars, coffee shops, street corners, parties. I will not stop. My music is a big part of who I am, I put my sole in there. I will work on putting the whole story down. I just want to thank you so much for listening to my music, it means the world to me, you have no idea. Feel free to write me, I am a big believer in that everything happens for a reason, and I am looking forward to getting to know you. Thank you again, Jeremy.
