“"echo park" burn rubber and should be way up already. This "Route 66" says local dance halls when there was sweat and smoke and colour beams. This man's the man. His voice tells the way....”

“"sixpeopleaway" are brilliantly, musically inventive, like painters. This is her smooth, uncompromising confident voice teamed with steel string grittiness snd chippy percusssion. Every track on this album (and the other two, hear them) is musical gold, sometimes challenging but always new sound.”

“"sixpeopleaway" could make the most perfect song about a cockroach and I'd buy it."Nightlight" is only of the very best album here: her fabulous voice in equal partnership with ingenious, inventive, crisp and snappy musicians.”

“A most beautiful classic duo song; her perfect strong clever song with just a dark tone, and the perfect piano dueting her, not under, equal, challenging but supportive. This is the most perfect album, and "sixpeopleaway" are going to be big, based all on such exquisite talent.”

“Sorry to say I loaded it for free just to hear her beautiful confident free voice and crisp clarity of musicians, better, and this is quite wonderful ! So is the pacy interlocked work on "Say it's Simple". Buy them, lift them out of Free, and I'll rebuy them !”

“Exquisite ! This and "Nightwatch" are the very best of a beautifully crafted album. Teasingly, almost on the edge of mannerism but fascinatingly, not. Listen on headphones or huge speakers to her clarity, breath and you're sliding on the strings next to the soundbox.Such clever 'shaving' of the male voice to hers on "Nightwatch" too. And, yes, she's saying other things here on 'Country Boy'!”

“Folksy and nearly corny, but with such a sharp, hilarious edge;let it drift into you, and you'll be tapping and smiling, and snjoying such smart musicians and comments. I love jug bands (and this isn't really one of them) but it's better than 'old boys' and makes its own strong mark. Buy it cheap now, all ya !”

“I've 'owned' this track for a while and it is a coming classic; nostalgic, pacy and has to be listened close, on a good player. It's "Simon & Garfunkel" glimmering by (& that's a compliment, not derivative)but better, it's learnt all that. Try "Hollow Notes" on the DECA Hush album too; same comments.”

“I defy you to download "Empty Handed" and maybe "Fear of Heights" and NOT buy the whole album (at this price too!). Crisp wall-of-sound road-run energy, young, raw, poignant of those heavy barn parties... the soft top's down...”
