Roguedaddy

Doug was born in Toronto in 1962. He grew up in North Toronto with his family and they later relocated to the Moore Park area of Toronto. Doug enjoyed music in school and it didn’t take long for his interest to expand. At the age of 12, he convinced his parents to purchase an acoustic guitar for him and to sign him up for lessons at a local music store. At the same time, he began teaching himself to play piano at home. In 1977, he and some friends started a band together and he honed his skills while playing and practicing. During the 80’s, Doug began exploring other instruments and added bass and electric guitar and keyboard to his repertoire. He has continued to play, write and record throughout the years. Currently, he has been playing solo acoustic sets at local open mic nights and continues to indulge his passion for writing and recording new and earlier songs in his home studio.
