The Man Behind the name Michael McGuire born in the south of England in 1985. Music Producer and Graphic/ Web Designer from the UK. I've been producing for near 8 years now, and specialize in most forms of electronic music. I try to stay away from the norm in preference for the 'edge' of sound. I love to remix, mash up, sample, and produce anything that triggers emotion. I am especially interested in the Break Beat House, Trance, Ambient, and especially anything that sound melodic/ melancholy and progressive. I am currently working on my début album under the alias 'Gyre' (Electronic/Breaks)as well as music under the alias 'Foreplay' (Electronic/House). Why Breakbeat I first started producing electronic dance music, and progressed through to trance, house, and everything progressive. But in my spare time i would always attempt to create what i didn’t then was called breaks, or breakbeat. The more and more i got to learn about all these types of genres and in between, the more constricted i felt - always having to stick to genre ‘guidelines’ didn’t go down to well with me, so i continued to experiment, and when truly starting breaks i found complete freedom in which to carve out my own musical path, and ever since thats what i have been trying to achieve. Present Though currently i am mainly focusing on music closely linked with breakbeat, i am also working on back projects; I am working on an album which falls under the category: house, but i prefer to call it ‘experimental house, or experimental fours’ Here i take all my favorite elements from different genres involved in four to the floor kicks, and try to create something mildly newer, or refreshing (at least to me). Future I hope to continue on my quest to find new forms of inspiration for my music, and gradually evolve in to a hybrid of styles, to really define my musical qualities. Who knows where it will take me! Your feedback and comment are very welcome, and i hope you all enjoy what I'm making. If you do enjoy my music, PLEASE support me by adding me as a friend, drop me a message, or recommending me to your friends.
