“There are other genres that I prefer over the style of this album but I have to say I think this is the best album of 2009. On the surface it is a beautiful thing to listen to while going about your day. But if you want to do do it justice go to a room where you can be alone and undisturbed. Turn the lights down, put headphones/ear buds on, hit play and close your eyes. The album is a concept album with a theme and story developing over the course of the songs. With an album title like Hospice you can guess this is a dark journey. It probes love, death and the bottomless ache of loss that can't be undone. It does so without cliche. The lyrics are stripped bare, exposed and raw. The album wouldn't be listenable if it wasn't so damn beautiful. Ultimately, Hospice reminds me how beautiful and delicate life is. Really taste every bite of food, watch birds play in the sky, stop the car and watch the sun rise, close your eyes and listen to Hospice.”

“Nice chilled out house beats with trumpet stabs and female vocal echos. Upbeat without demanding your attention.”

“Crazy bombastic beats from Ninja Tune. Check out Ninja Tune site for free download of a 33 minute mix down of King Cannibals new album.”
