Nice background beats. Relaxing music, and a voice that just makes you want to listen. The lyrics are simple, yet intricate. Good for occasional listeners, but be warned, you may get hooked!

Fun fun fun! Makes me imagine a Napoleon Dynamite type DJ playing his keyboard pop song trying to get everyone to dance... But not in a lame way. ;)

In what might be a subtle update of "It's My Party" (and I'll Cry If I Want To), the singular bedroom rocker with the plural name We Were Pirates sings sweetly to a slow indie rock beat, exhorting party-goers: "Everybody in this whole damn place get on the floor / 'cause we're not leaving 'til everybody gets down." So why don't we believe him when he says everyone's having a great time at this party? The emotional tone is flat and sad, a cousin to the ironic tone adopted by The Bloodhound Gang when they mumbled Parliament-Funkadelic lyrics. There's snacks and drinks and games... so why don't We Were Pirates sound like they're having fun?

Song is great. Pretty low key, laid back. Very similar to Postal Service, just not as electro-heavy. Vocals is a mix of Postal Service and Ben Folds...Great stuff!
