What is a Rec?
Writing a RECommendation is your way of sharing a song you really believe in with the whole community. You get RECs each time you purchase credit on Amie Street and you can use them to earn free credit. Whenever a song you have RECd goes up in price, you earn free credit.
Street Cred
Street Cred is the amount of credit a member has earned from his or her RECs. If you REC a song when it is free, and it goes up to 98 cents, you get 98 cents of credit for that REC!

Good pop stuff. A little 80's sounding. The vocals remind be a bit of Bowie at times.

Don't know why, but this song reminds me of Antony and the Johnsons: slow, emotional, vulnerable.

Great upbeat song - very british, very good. Sounds a bit like a mash-up of The Kooks, Kate Nash and The Streets.

I like this guys flow. He's really mellow, but isn't afraid to get whacky with it. Good stuff, sort of reminds me of odb.

Sweet sounding sax work! If this groove doesn't get you moving then you'd better check your pulse!

Impressive self-produced music; MacJams blog describes this track as "the more powerful Subdivide (perhaps the best track on the CD) that questions how we draw artificial boundaries and isolate ourselves even as we crowd together."

This is a really charming ray of sunshine in the normally moonlit world of rye: a bit like a world-weary Morrissey or Neil Hannon lamenting smalltown life over a backing that sounds like REM, but with Bryan ferry on electric piano. A perversely funny, touching, 'happily sad' piece of perfect pop. Great tune: a real grower. Verse, bridge, chorus... middle 8... check. Overdiven guitar, check. Steady odd, christopher. If you're not careful you'll crack a smile and write a hit.

Sounds like a retro club hit to me: one part Depeche Mode, one part nu-metal. Sort of like the anti-Cher goes clubbing. Gothic but not Goth. Insanely catchy. A single?
