I heard this song just after listening to The Beast (which I loved) and I was quite surprised at the contrast. I was reminded of Joanna Newsom, whom I'm afraid I don't particularly like. Maybe I had been mistaken in taking a liking to this band? But as I listened it grew on me, this was something different. This was a more powerful voice full of potential. The song it self was embedding in my head. At maybe the third recital of 'I love darkness but I want to be the light' the surge of her vocals sealed the deal. This song is just beautiful.
