What is a Rec?
Writing a RECommendation is your way of sharing a song you really believe in with the whole community. You get RECs each time you purchase credit on Amie Street and you can use them to earn free credit. Whenever a song you have RECd goes up in price, you earn free credit.
Street Cred
Street Cred is the amount of credit a member has earned from his or her RECs. If you REC a song when it is free, and it goes up to 98 cents, you get 98 cents of credit for that REC!

Has the power and haunting music and lyrics of Dylan's social protest songs of the 80's.

"Forty Years of Pain," is the title song to the cult horror film "Dead and Gone," its an outlaw-style country song written and recorded to sound like Nashville circa 1968. I love his soulful, sexy voice. He's written more than 50 songs for other singers. I'm happy to hear him record his own stuff.

Americana at its most authentic. Nice and sparse. I love Effron's gravelly voice, a la Tom Waits and Louis Armstrong... it fits the music, and the song, so well.

I can't help but think of Joe Cocker analogies while listening to Effron White. His voice is not smooth, but it sure fits the music and emotions that the music conjures.

Principles of Righteousness, and Sarah Palin stands
above all today's politicans, with such to turn
this Country around for the better.

Gutsy Instrumental Music will keep you from going insane during all the election commercials, as we pick the Lesser of two Evils in the USA... when one thinks about the money spend on Politics vs. the independent musician, makes one very sad, no?

A great version of the old Johnny Paycheck classic. There are 3 fine voices here: Billy Dee, Ray Benson (of Asleep at the Wheel), and Dale Watson. It just don't get no better 'n this!
