Play Button Coffee

by Motel Motel

on New Denver

in Alternative, Indie Rock

I really like this song for several reasons. Firstly, it just is a good song in itself. I also like the rawness in the sound and production. In this case it really supports the style and delivery. It's also a very organic piece that pulstates and evolves and never seems to really repeat itself. There is a succesful Swedish artist, Håkan Hellström, that this somehow reminds me of, despite being muscially rather different... I guess it's the spontaneous energy that they have in common.. The funy thing is that there's also a Stevie Nicks/Sheryl Crow "If You Ever Did Believe" -vibe in the first part... which may seem pretty odd as the style is quite different, but it fits in naturally and works really well! An interesting raw and musical piece this. I'll certainly check out more by this band very soon.
