About Room Next Door

Great voice great songs – “Room Next Door” is Yuki's debut album and the beginning of a life long contribution to the world of music.

Yuki is the collaboration of Danish singer Yuki Badino, Australian songwriter, guitarist and cellist Michael Thomas, Australian bassist Sasha Karcher and African drummer Deodato Siquir.

The music ranges from haunting and heart-felt, to fun pop rock with an element of jazz.

The band formed and recorded their debut album "Room Next Door" in 2005 in Copenhagen Denmark. The album is currently being released in Europe and Australia on the band's independent label Gibson Records.

Like many great tales the Yuki story began in a pub when Yuki Badino met Michael Thomas in a village in the Swiss Alps. Yuki was working as a waitress in a restaurant and Michael was playing music in the local bar. Yuki came up to sing and from then on secured a bring-the-house-down nightly guest appearance. They were spotted by an agent and were soon working in venues across Europe.

From the beginning Yuki and Michael recorded their original music on a mini-disc recorder and these recordings soon became sought after. They were offered recording time with Brian Armstrong an English producer based in Denmark. It was around this time they met Aussie bass player Sasha Karcher and drummer/percussionist Deodato from Mozambique who completed the band.

Yuki has since played a string of sell out gigs in Copenhagen and plans to tour Australia, New Zealand and the US.
