The road to success is never smooth nor is it risk free. It is often filled with enormous pitfalls, countless disappointments and immeasurable pain. Those that have reached great heights of success, excellence and greatness in their life, usually only arrive there, after going through valleys of unforeseen challenges and intimidating obstacles. Wreck Wregular has also seen his fair share of those disappointments and dark days. Wreck was born one of three children for his mother, in the heart of the hood of Kansas City Missouri, which has become synonymous nowadays with gang activity. As prefaced before, Wreck has also seen his share of tough times and dark days. The darkest of those days took place at the age of seven. While he along with his sisters and mother were home, they witnessed detectives and those boys in blue bust into their house, only to tear it apart, turning their lives upside down, while leaving with Wrecks father handcuffed, on a very emotionally charged day in the Winter of 1992. It was a devastating day in the life of this budding star and his family. Upon the unfair judgement of a circuit court judge, Wrecks dad was sentenced to 55 years, with no chance for parole. His father’s sentence was later reduced. However, Wreck Wregular and his family would not see their loved one for several decades. The judge in the case handed down his decision and Wrecks father started serving his sentence. The family later relocated to the mean streets of Shreveport Louisiana, to an even more crime infested, poverty struck, hard hit area, riddled with violence and an alarming murder rate. The new start was not easy but it was his mothers resolve and determination to create a better life for her family, which got them through the hard times. Wreck was also determined to make something of his life. He wanted to be make his mother proud, as well as he desired to be the least of her worries. So he strived hard to stay out of the streets and in the books, although tempted by the lures of hood life, he managed to keep on the up and up. He also was able to stay on the straight and narrow, with minor deviation, by occupying his time with two of his past time passions, which were basketball and music, not to mention he was always guided by his fathers wisdom from behind the walls of a cell block. Hoops led to scholarship offers, attention from the girls and a great deal of high school popularity. However, it was his music, which got his hood open to what this young producer sensation was cooking up in the studio for the streets to consume. After dropping out of college, and with the thoughts of playing pro ball fading with each injury, Wreck focused more and more on his music and getting that off the ground. After receiving word through a friend that some positive things were popping off on the music scene for a mutual friend in Orlando Florida he decided to relocate to the gunshine state, where he once lived for a short run. Since landing in O-town, he has diligently worked hard on his craft, while creating his own sound. He is also becoming a household name as a producer and artist in Orlando Florida. Since his arrival in Central Florida, he has linked up with 3308 Productions and is an integral part of this talented group of musicians, producers, songwriters and aspiring talent, while being managed by Colab Entertainment Music Group. Wreck also shares duties as an in-house producer for CEMG’s upcoming artist and star in his own right Truth, his longtime friend and his right hand partner in crime. Today Wreck can be found, waking up in studios all over the “O” creating more hits of his own, as well as for others. His ability to manuever around software based music programs, has led to the sounds of infectious, thumping club and street anthems, which can be heard, in the clubs and many mixtapes by signed and unsigned artist. His manager, Big Dox calls him the Kanye West of the South because of his ability to pen some of the hottest verses, while being able to get behind the boards and bang out hits. Wrecks sound is his own, a gumbo of sorts, crafted with meticulous precision. As He gears for his own releases independently, while still creating tomorrows sound for other artist, you can catch the Louisiana native going hard in the streets and on the internet growing his brand. This young star seeks to make music history following in the footsteps of his musical inspirations, Swizz Beats, Timberland, Kanye, Pharrell, Jay Z, and a few other music icons, too many to name.
