“"Gone and Left Me" is a great up tempo blues track that really rocks! You won't be able to keep your feet still when listening to this one! Great blues piano on this track - the piano player really tinkles the ivory throughout this song!”

“Willie's vocals on "Promise Me Love" remind me a bit of another great bluesman/harp player - Charlie Musslewhite. I had the pleasure of seeing Charlie Musslewhite a number of years ago in my hometown, and even got his autograph. It's a shame that I'll never get the opportunity to do the same with Willie Foster, as he passed away May 20, 2001. Well, at least I can still listen to his great music!”

“"Tell Me", after hearing just the first three tracks, that you don't love this album already!! Love this slow blues with its definitive bass line, tinkling piano keys, cool guitar licks, and of course Willie Fosters great vocals and harmonica playing!”

“"Willie's Shuffle" is a nice instrumental that showcases Willie's talent on harmonica, as well as the rest of the bands individual talent.”

“You can really hear Willie's heart and soul put into this slow blues track, "I Got a Letter This Morning".”

“I love the nice blues groove of this track. Willie plays amazingly on the harp and I love the organ on this one as well.”

“"Willie's Life" is the longest track on the album. It is played slowly and quietly, as Willie Foster tells his life story to, you and I, the listener. What a fantastic way to end a great album, by an absolutely outstanding bluesman. Don't Hesitate, Get This Album!!!”

“Another great slow blues track by Willie and his band. Willie really makes the ol' blues harp sing on this one! I could listen to this stuff all day long!!!”

“I love this track,"Let Em' Talk", with its heavy drum beats! ”

“I can't believe that no one has rec'd Willie Foster, yet. This guy is the real deal! He has everything that makes the blues so great. He was known around his home of Greenville, Mississippi as the "Godfather of The Blues". He's the blues from the bottom of his foot to the hair on his head. He was born in the blues, raised in the blues and lived the blues. Don't miss out on this album. ”
