“This song definitely propels these guys into a genre WAY beyond bluegrass and roots... and into experimental indie rock with true originality... yes, using two banjos. And more. Like didgeridoo, found percussion, weird vocal effects... all in a strange harmonic minor scale that gives the song a Baltic/Middle Eastern feel in the beginning. Again, hints of REM weave through the vocals. What a melange. I'm digging it... ”

“If Michael Stipe and REM had taken a more Americana, rootsy road, this is what I imagine they might sound like. Two Many Banjos can take old timey instruments and create interestingly modern indie-folk songs that appeal on many levels. Check out the bands' chops on some of the more bluegrassy songs, too... they ain't kiddin' around. Right ahwn!”

“Sounds like a song from the soundtrack for 'O Brother Where Art Thou'... love how the banjo melody follows the vocal line. Two songs into the album, two RECs already... good ROI folks. ;)”

“Here's a rootsy, alt-bluegrass gem of a band just a-waitin' to be picked up in the new section of Amie Street. The double banjo pickin' works well, beautifully backed by a bowed string section and excellent vocal harmonies. Reminds me a bit of the Be Good Tanyas. Can't go wrong there, no-ways... ”

“I'm pretty sure you can't have too many banjos- especially if they make music this great. Thanks for pointing this out , Jujubeebop!”
