About In The EP

Recorded in both Texas and Washington, "In The" EP is as short as it is sweet. This low-fi record somehow managed to create a world where the ideals of radio friendly pop and avant-garde film scores not only co-exist peacefully, but actually kiss and make-up. This "opposites attract" phenomenon surprisingly results in what those mainstream mall-goers might label as "cute" and the indie elite might indifferently dismiss as “genius.” Agreed...it is an odd pairing and in many ways is reminiscent of a rich dessert...where more than a bite is too much for those with even the sweetest tooth and therefore perfect to share. Just under 19 minutes in length, Treebend's debut release is an amuse-bouche sprinkled with epic tendencies likely to present listeners with the dilemma of feeling "full" while wishing for just one more bite. Have no fear, this little gem is worth a repeat and is guaranteed not to leave you feeling bloated.
