About Wander
With his 3rd solo album release, Trance Blackman continues his smooth melodies right into Wander. His signature rich vocals and harmonies, catchy hooks and rhythms, both mellow and aggressive styles, are enough to satisfy most any music lover's interests. In the end, you can sit and listen to the album front to back without wanting to press that "Skip" button. This album includes popular picks like "Give It" - a music video of which is available at TranceBlackman.com - with an alternate remixed club version, an Elvis Presley classic made new, "Can't Help Falling in Love" which is nice and easy on the ears.
The message is love, as always. TB wants to spread the love like "sweet jam on everyone's brain". Why not?
...
OK, so here's the less formatted version.
I really tried to mix it up a bit when creating the songs for Wander - as you'll note with the diversity in musical style and groove. The name of the project came late, as the song Wander was written more than half of the way through. Some songs were scratched as new ones came along, and tweaks, twists, adjustments and modifications finally ceased to allow the CD to be "finished". I use that term loosely, as you know there's a "remixed" edition of Wander now available. :) So? What of it?
Wander is a continuation of my journey down a road that is slowly revealing itself to me. I'm not sure whether I want to heal the world, or just help change the minds of those that are in a position to effect some change. There are very few "relationship" songs (ie girl & boy, breakup, woah is me and my broken heart stuff) and more of what I guess I'd call "message music" without getting preachy. It's about being a citizen of the planet earth and recognizing that we are ALL in this together, so why can't we just get along?
Therein lies my frustration. Or rather the things that piss me off. How can one obscure, largely unknown artist hope to effect real change when those tasks seem so overwhelmingly insurmountable? So many recent world events are rather disheartening. All I can do right now is write music and share it with those who will listen.
And so, we'll just leave it at that for now.
Thanks for reading, if you've made it this far. :)
Love your life.
