About It's Somebody's Fault, but Not Mine

"...a standout effort on the part of lead vocalist and songwriter Michael Sanchez who seems to have an ever set eye on writing the perfect pop song. I'm fascinated by his progression in regards to his last EP and am curious to see where he takes his next recording..."
- James Marden, FUCK IT MAGAZINE

"...Pairing such contrasting sounds as electronic drums and with pianos and acoustic guitars, The Way It Is weaves a multi-layered, sonically appetizing mix of heart-on-the-sleeve warmth and futuristic street cool. Love without apologies. Art without pretension. A sound that is uniquely The Way It Is."
- Dan Forsythe, WHITE NOISE magazine

Michael Sanchez - Microphone, guitar, programming
Victor Mance - Bass, piano
James Reinhold - Drums, organ

Seattle songwriter and filmmaker Michael Sanchez started The Way It Is as a side project in 1997. He's performed in several bands including Watership Down with his brother David (The Solitary System) and The New Death Show with Davidson Burnam (Katherine Hepburn's Voice).

“Unique, driving, pop-perfection - good lyrics and solo/bridge. This is definitely one to have on your playlist.”
