Biography
THE SIXTH CHAMBER Often accused of being one of the most original sounding hard rock bands in Los Angeles, The Sixth Chamber has reached a milestone with its new EP ÒDivine,Ó four addictive doses of sexually-charged and impassioned songwriting delivered via blasting vintage tube amplifiers, heavy rhythmic drive and soulful, belty vocals.

The new recording was produced by Louis Castle and James Bairian, who were dubbed Òsonic wizardsÓ by the LA Weekly for their work that includes producing the critically-acclaimed Giant Drag album (the album received a rave review in Rolling Stone last year after being released by an Interscope Records affiliate).

Vocalist Sevan Kand sings in a soulful and bluesy style inspired by vocalists from late 60s/early 70s rock and R&B. Some influences include Jim Morrison, Robert Plant, Jack Bruce, Al Green, James Brown and Ian Gillan. Kand was born into a bohemian musical family, and his voice was used on recordings by gothic rock pioneers Christian Death as a small child.

Guitarist Rahne Pistor is a pupil of the Jimi Hendrix school of blues and psychedelic rock guitar, and he often adds mystical gypsy flamenco flare to his lead guitar. Pistor relocated to Los Angeles a few years ago from New Jersey, where in his teenage punk days he played bass in a band with members of The Misfits and Samhain.

Joshua Soto is a dedicated young bassist delivering seductive grooves in the flavor of John Paul Jones and Billy Cox. Born and bred in the carnivalesque California coastal arts mecca of Venice, he keeps alive the spirit of his city.

Drummer Michael Ferrara articulates classic rock and blues-fueled psychedelic beats, and at a mere 20 years old, surpasses in jazz and rock drumming skills many players twice his age.

For its live shows in New York and Los Angeles, The Sixth Chamber has been "pick of the week" in the Village Voice and LA Weekly.

The band enjoys playing art galleries, small tucked away Strangetowns and large venues where new movements in rock are blowing up.

Reviews/Feedback
"...possibly the best rock recording of 2007 - Joel Gausten, author, journalist, rock historian"

"...The Sixth Chamber do what so few bands...are capable of - create original music. This is a really impressive debut, and it would be great to see this band get signed to a good label." - Reviewer magazine #17

"...interesting tuneage indeed. Much respect to these guys for opting to stand out from the rest of the pack." - Razorcake magazine #16

“Upbeat, foot-tapping song. Cool guitar riff at the beginning followed by palm muted chords. Vocals have a lot of range. Awesome Hendrix-esque solo at the end. Excellent way to close the album.”

“Best song on the album. Kicks off with heavy chords followed by a mysterious riff. The song makes you just want to rock out. Guitar work is varied and interesting. Vocal melody also has a lot of variation. Solo is a bit standard though.”

“Excellent opening track with an awesome and complex guitar riff. Clear vocals with good lyrics. Dynamic contrast between the verse (single note riff) and the chorus (heavy power chords). Solo is interesting and unique.”

“Opens with an inspiring and unique solo that reminds me of more modern rock styles. Slight off-key bend in the solo though. Vocals fit the desperate tone of the song. Another excellent solo later into the song. ”
