“this isn't usually my type of music, but it's this really good of a mix between the velvet underground and something else that I can't think of right now...important thing is that I like it. maybe you will too”

“if you like gritty noise infested drawl in the darksider tradition, you'll love this song. think My Bloody Valentine joins up with Slowdive doing The Jesus & Mary Chain. dirty atmosphere it's great.”

“Slow, windy and all distortion-ed out. Tripping on painkillers. That point in the night--you're drunk and you're not processing anything properly. Everything is the sound of the music interacting with the push/pull of your body's gravity and inertia--people are talking at you, touching you. You're indifferent. Their faces blend in with the lighting. All the external stimuli goes in and gets processed as pain-neutral. That's the Raveonettes.”

“maybe the closest thing to a pop song on this album. try it first before you listen to the rest of the album.”
