About The Old Silver Band EP
The Old Silver Band is neither "old", nor "silver", and many may not even consider them a full "band". Truth be told, the OSB is an acoustic duo from Falmouth, Massachusetts consisting of brothers Matt and John Beninghof. Despite having grown up under the same roof it wasn't until recently they discovered the talent and presence they possess together on stage. The combination of John's percussive folk/reggae/rock guitar style and Matt's more traditional back-woods/folk/bluegrass flavor has led them to describe their style as "beachgrass". Though they perform mostly as a duo, you can often catch them with as many as 4 or 5 other musicians to round out the line-up drawing on influences such as Paul Simon, Sam Bush, Tom Petty, and James Taylor. The OSB has just completed its debut EP, available online now!2 RECs for this Album
