Born and raised in the jungle that is New York City, The Mystic Underground set
themselves apart. While most bands set their sights on becoming the new Strokes or
Interpol, The Mystic Underground forge their own path by staying true to themselves
with their brand of succulent pop ditties meshed with danceable rhythms and
introspective lyrics with tongue firmly planted in cheek.

In the words of singer,
Vladimir Valette, "...We're looking to grab a foothold in the minds and hearts of
listeners everywhere, we want to serve as a reminder that the term 'pop music' isn't
an obscenity. We write songs with something to say and aren't afraid to push the
envelope and have you singing along in the process".


Blending the sounds of new wave, post-punk, Britpop, and alternative dance and
wrapping it all in an electronic bow, this is a band destined to find themselves at the
forefront of the new electronic pop movement in the US and abroad. The proof of this
can be found on the 2004 debut LP,“The Nameless and The Faceless” which garnered
significant radio play on college radio thanks to the strength of tracks like “Mary's
Dead” and “Townies”. Their most recent release, the “Under The Clearest Moon” EP
found the band gaining a larger audience and points to a very promising future for
the band indeed.
