“Almost operatic juxtaposition of sex and death in the lyrics, but yet such an upbeat tune...”

“What a song, and what a story. You can't beat the upbeat nature of the song vs the macabre black humor of the lyrics. Edgy and sharp and oh so well done. I love this band.”

“Just going to quote from this song: "I've heard the waitress from the coffee shop / At the edge of the universe / Tricks rich men into being slaves ... She speaks freely in a parlor /
cuts her absinthe down with dirt /
she says someday son you'll meet up / with
all those you have hurt" Enough said.”

“If Dylan did a song about heroin, this would be it. Dark and mystical and terrifyingly grim, with a twist of religious philosophy thrown in at the end. Of course, if Dylan DID sing a song about heroin and I don't know about then I now look un-musicista. Oh well :)”
