“Sounds like the magnetic fields, if they weren't sad and lived in Nashville. ”

“"The Floor of this Romance" is pure classic country music. This is the stuff CMT should be ashamed it doesn't air music videos for, and that Nashville should be ashamed it doesn't produce anymore. I'm guessing somewhere out there Hank Sr. is smiling.”

“This song sounds like the theme of a modern Western film. Somebody ought to make one, and put it on the film festival circuit...just so more people can hear this song! Classic Western-showdown music mixed with some excellent modern rock sensibilities, this tune kicks butt and takes names.”

“A sad song of empty love-making...yet excellent vocals and musicianship turn the writer's pain into your pleasure (but not in a sadistic way!), and you'll have this one in your head for quite some time (and the same goes for all the other tracks on this most excellent country album)!”

“Another Mark Norris number, this fast-paced track is yet another reason why "Get Comfortable with the Hickory Windbreakers" is a quintessential modern country-rock-pop album. Especially appealing with the windows down, driving down the highway, on a warm summer day.”

“After "Five Finger Discount," you might conclude that Jesse Mank is responsible for all the sensitive, heart-broken love songs on this album, while Mark Norris handles the straight up rock'n'roll numbers. "I Became A Monster" would be the track to prove this assumption wrong, and you'll be glad it did, as Norris is more than capable at tugging at the heart strings with a beautiful and catchy melody!”

“Every song on "Get Comfortable with the Hickory Windbreakers" is a classic in my book. The opening track really sets the mood for the album with a wonderful country melody. This is definitely a must-listen!”

“While I love "Five Finger Discount," it must be said that EVERY SONG on "Get Comfortable with The Hickory Windbreakers" is worth a huge recommendation! This is classic country rock, a true gem, about an unpleasant childhood experience. I've never shoplifted, but I was once accused of it in a Best Buy. This song turns that unpleasant memory into a rockin' tune. Get it!”

“While I love "Headaches and Aspirin," it must be said that EVERY SONG on "Get Comfortable with The Hickory Windbreakers" is worth a huge recommendation! "Headaches and Aspirin" is quite an ear-worm; it's been stuck in my head for days now. Who knew a song about something so mundane and terrible (chronic headaches and aspirin-taking, which I myself suffer from) could make such a beautiful and catchy tune? Listen for yourself!”
