About The Hereafter
"the hereafter" was recorded periodically from march 2005 to may 2006 at downtown rehearsal studios in los angeles, john's closet in venice and field recording locations in california & minnesota. it also features audio from los angeles-area AM radio broadcasts."back where i was" (track four) and "eulogy" (track fourteen) were featured in episodes of the tv show grey's anatomy. "the end" (track twelve) was featured on NPR's all songs considered/open mic program. "musical chairs" (track nine) was the first track on a CD compilation released by the trabant chai lounge in seattle. the album is available at itunes, amazon and right here on cdbaby.
john elliott sings and plays guitar, bass, piano, keyboards & harmonica. andy featherston plays drums, percussion, orchestra bells & waterphone and did the field recording. evan endicott plays electric guitar on 4, 6, 7, 10 & 11. bryan dobbs plays bass on 5, 6 & 10. ryan zwahlen plays oboe on 3, 5 & 8. carter dewberry plays cello on 1 & 6.
