While the title track to this single may feature the Charlatans at their late-'60s Rolling Stones-esque best, the other songs capture the band exploring and experimenting with new sounds with pleasing results. Lead singer Tim Burgess' fascination with the burgeoning big beat sound of the London club scene shows up on "Chemical Risk (Toothache Remix)" by the Chemical Brothers. The instrumental track "Frinck" places the keyboard flourishes of the late Rob Collins in an electronic battleground. Closing out the single is the song "Your Skies Are Mine," which stomps along in classic fashion with satisfying results that were shamefully relegated to B-side status. ~ Douglas Siwek, All Music Guide
