Our take

“"Leap" is a soul-stirring anthem, raising instant goosebumps and hope. And that's just on the first listen, without any attention to the lyrics. The Cave Singers are a remedy for a downhearted day.”

“"Summer Light" transports me back to listening to records my dad played in the house in the mid-70s. I can't help but hear the young Arlo Guthrie in the singer's voice and the best moments of Fairport Convention in the music. Truly touching song and a great opener to a great album. ”

“More rollicking. A voice that sounds less affected than their last album. I'm impressed by how much this alt-country group has grown, growing out of the genre into something more idiosyncratic. Godd album!”

“Sounds like a slower version of 'Helen' from 'Invitation Songs', and that's a good thing.”

“The cave singers have really taken great strides forward with their sophomore release. Although this album still has it's roots in the folk genre, I find this album much more rock oriented. Great full sounding album...”
