Team Classick is an L.A. based team of MC’s and producers whose music touches upon a wide range of topics with absolute honesty. Coming from diverse backgrounds and different walks of life, each crew member depicts the realism of life in Los Angeles , reflecting their personal growth in their narratives. Team Classick makes music that seeks to connect with listeners on a personal level. It is a fresh sigh of relief from the monotony that plagues modern Hip-hop.

Discovering each others fondness for hip-hop as well as their respective talents in 2002, MC R-Sun and producer enzo.tanaka, set up shop and began making the first ClasSick records. Along with fellow MC HisPanik, the three created ClasSick Productions in 2004- which later would include an incredible roster of MC’s and producers collectively naming their crew Team ClasSick. Focusing on artist expression, Team Classick walks the fine line between producing music that appeals to the public while not selling out to the commercial norm that inundates rap music today. Their roster includes MC’s R-Sun, HisPanik, Nemesis, KilloMic, Spotlight, Fafology, Gravity and producers Enzo.Tanaka and Trainwreck. The diversity of the roster creates a variety that is rarely heard in music today; blending the old school with the new, producing something that every real hip-hop fan base can appreciate.

In late 2006, Team ClasSick’s first mixtape “The Session, Vol. 1” was released. Following the release, Team ClasSick has played at several venues in the Los Angeles area and opened for some of the greatest artists hip-hop has ever seen. Following the philosophy that greatness is unattainable if you don’t cross that line of safety into uncertainty, Team ClasSick has created a different brand of music. Their belief is that if you do what everyone else is doing, you are following the wrong path. Team Classick also stands alone in the sense that there are very few Latino acts in hip-hop of their caliber that seek to expose their cultural contributions to the music. Team ClasSick seeks to expand their style of hip-hop music which has long since been ignored in not only the Latino sector, but the entire hip-hop community as well. There is a resurgence of true hip-hop against the advent of mindless commercial music, and Team ClasSick is at the frontlines.
