About Swamp
SWAMP is a home grown Florida band, who creates an all original style of music that some call 'Hard Folk Rock', some call 'Hard Country' and some folks just call it 'kick ass jams'. The band just calls it SWAMP music. Featuring soulful and gutsy harmonica work, combined with creative and expressive guitar, and a driving beat, SWAMP appeals to anyone who likes true American music in its raw and native form. The lead singer has a gruff, gravelly sound, which is beautifully balanced by the honey sweet back vocals of the band's female member. Soaring, ripping slide guitar eats up the spotlight in some of the songs, while the powerful harmonica work fills in at other times. 'Pole Down', displayed on this page as a free sample, was honored as featured Song of the Day at Garageband.com.... a site that has over 30,000 songs!
