“I love progressive and psychedelic because of music like this.”

“Love this song. It was on an older Bill Baird self release and I loved it then as I do now. It gets a bit of a re-working but the overall feel is still there. ”

“A lovely song - if a bit on the down side. Gourgeous home made sound on the production (complex as it is), and a fittingly codeine-infected voice. For anyone who thinks Jason Pierce has gotten too old...”

“A re-working of a song from one of my favorite albums of all time Sound Team's Movie Monster. I swear that I have heard this song in a movie, but I think that it may have been in a dream because I cant find anything about it anywhere.”

“Bigdiction.net: "Leading off the album, “Zombies” sets the tone for what is to come, crafting a patchwork percussion rhythm dressed up with pianos and vocal chants (”Zombies… Zombies”) while Baird’s near-whisper vocals churn up some oddly optimistic lyrics: “Dance, like Sandy said / if your heart isn’t dancing you might as well be dead” (well, optimistic at least given the context - a song called ‘Zombies’)."”

“I have the physical copy of this, but figured I would pick it up here as well so I could Rec it. This and the earlier release, Bright Blue Dream are top notch records full of pretty much every genre and sub genre you can think of. Former members of the great Sound Team and other Austin musicians make up this fantastic outfit. Check it out, I bet you like it. Also, check out thier recent Daytrotter session, great stuff!”
