Steven Mark

Blending poetic introspective lyrics with sixties inspired musical arrangements and lush vocal harmonies, Steven Mark describes his sound as Elliott Smith meets early REM with a touch of Crosby Stills & Nash. A graduate of Columbia Journalism School, Steven released his first cd, DISTRACTION, in the summer of 2004. The album was named one of the finest recordings of the year by Hybrid Magazine. He followed that up in 2005 with the release of ALONEAPHOBE, an album loosely inspired by the film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. He now turns to the theme of mortality with his new release, RACING GREY, due in stores May 22nd. Steven Mark lives in New York City where he performs frequently at The Bitter End, Sidewalk Caf� and The Baggot Inn.
