Stephanie Schneiderman

Rooted in soul and folk music, Stephanie Schneiderman artfully combines ambient indie-pop with electronic drum and bass. Her six solo release, Dangerous Fruit, reveals a gorgeous recording that transcends genre and defies convention. The catalyst for this is her musical partnership with one of the most prolific electronic musicians/ producers/ DJ's in the NW - Keith Schreiner. The album launches her sound in a completely new, uncharted direction and is a testament to the magic that happens when an unexpected collaboration hits its stride.

Six solo albums, two collaborative albums, three music production credits, several film and stage roles, and the creation of a wildly successful concert series to benefit refugees in Uganda – Yes, name it and Stephanie Schneiderman has done it.

Stephanie’s solo career began with a coveted spot in the 1999 Lilith Fair. Since then she has earned extensive radio play, a devout following, and multiple appearances with some of the nation’s top touring acts including Hall & Oates, Five for Fighting, Chicago and Ben Taylor. She’s released five solo recordings – Dangerous Fruit (2008), Live at Kung Fu Bakery (2005), Touch Down (2004), Fall Sessions EP (2001), Unbelievably Unbroken (2001) and Stephanie Schneiderman (1999). Plus released a critically acclaimed album, Tea and Revenge (2006), with her collaborative group, Dirty Martini.

Although she has toured far and wide over many years, Stephanie always returns home to Portland, Oregon, a town that has embraced her since birth and where her family history goes back centuries.
