About Street Of Dreams
A duet with one of the UKs top indie icons of the last 15 years - Bernard Butler - ‘It’s Just Love’ evokes memories of the last great ‘triumph over adversity’ duet; ‘Don’t Give Up’ by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. Sofia’s soft, delicate, almost fragile vocals soar over a powerful piano melody punctuated by soft percussion, gentle strings and the rarely heard resonance of an acoustic double bass.‘It’s Just Love’ is taken from Sofia’s second album ‘Street of Dreams’. Written and produced entirely by Sofia herself, the album was released in January 2007 through Makaki Music.
Her debut album ‘Blue Moon’ was released in 2005 to high critical acclaim and quckly established Sofia as one of Swedens most promising young singer/songwriters.
With just a little luck, 2007 could be the year of Sofia Talvik.
In a market that has seen a phenomenal resurgence in strong solo female performers over the last five years, including Dido, Natasha Bedingfield, Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse, Sofia Talvik posesses the talent, quality and overall appeal to stand shoulder to shoulder with her peers.
