“I love mbira music from Zimbabwe. The fact that this music is performed by kids makes it all the sweeter. Based in France, Soko Records has embarked on a project in collaboration with UNICEF to promote the music of Zimbabwe and benefit its artists: the Zim Kids series spans a range of African genres, traditional and contemporary, but is unified by the young age and social hardships of the musicians.”
