About Repercussions

“Repercussions” is the third solo album by Sarah Reed. The songs, as the title suggests, are mostly on the theme of repercussions and consequences; some on a personal, emotional level, as within human relationships, some on a grander scale, referring to mankind’s progress (or fall) from the days of Eden. There is a hint of political comment in a couple of the songs, although you’ll have to look hard to find it!
There are a number of musical styles throughout the album, ranging from acoustic soul through country ballad and waltz to full-on rock.
As with the previous albums, the songs are built around skilfully crafted, metaphor-rich lyrics and memorable melodies, performed by a “compelling”, versatile voice.
The album features a talented group of session musicians, including Derek Heffernan (Paul Roland, The Virgin Prunes, Louis Turpin) and Jim Leverton (Caravan) and was recorded by renowned rock guitarist Bernie Torme (Gillan, Ozzy Ozbourne).
The album was produced by Sarah Reed and Bernie Torme.

“There are very few songs in today's market that capture your attention like "Under the Blanket". From the very first chord and heavy drum beat, you'll be entranced by this haunting melody. By the end of the song I found myself singing along and setting my iPod to repeat.”
