Singer, songwriter, actress, and independent filmmaker are just some of the titles that Sandra Dubose-Gibson has.
This teaser CD is the original soundtrack to the documentary film, “Project Liberation- My Alopecia Experience.”
The film is a personal inside look at the experience Sandra has had dealing with Alopecia Universalis, an autoimmune disease resulting in the loss of hair on your head and elsewhere on the body. The film was created as an educational and support tool for others with Alopecia and to promote Alopecia Awareness.
Sandra has poured out her heart in this project in every way possible and it is evident in the music which she wrote and performed as a companion to the film.
“I'm Beautiful”, is a song of affirmation dedicated to anyone who struggles with their self image for any reason, especially Alopecia.
In “It's You”, Sandra delivers an empowering message that makes you stand up inside yourself as she demonstrates that ordinary people can absolutely do extraordinary things.
This musical medley would not be complete without a moment of praise as Sandra sings her testimony entitled, “Thank You."
These are just a few songs to introduce a woman who is destined to be a powerful force in the music industry today. Enjoy this sneak preview and stay tuned in for the release of Sandra’s first album due to be released in Spring 2009.
