“On the surface a silly song for your kids, but I see deeper meaning to "doesn't everyone have an alligator somewhere somehow?" Your secret fears? Love Betsy's cello playing. You need to hear this live; SJ does great voices and improv”

“This is one of my first Sooj songs and even after all this time it is still one of my all time favorites. Whimsical and with a Spanish flair of Tango, Alligator is a fun and fabulous song.”

“This song is whimsical and so much fun! Had the chance to hear S.J. live recently and she is such an entertaining little pixie!”

“One of my very favorite SJ Tucker songs!”

“I'm the kind of stickler that hears that line "I've begun to worry about my toes/the alligator seems to think they're nice/I've counted all of them 100 times/and I never got the same answer twice" and IMMEDIATELY thinks "Wow... that means, at some point, you counted 99 toes or more." And I still don't care. This is the song that I find stuck in my head first thing in the morning and wonder why, the song that sends me into fits of giggles at 2:37pm on a random Thursday, the song that sets me dancing in the middle of the office. I can't recommend it enough.”
bustrcat Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:

“My family loves this song so much, we've added some of the lyrics to our everyday conversation. SJ takes a ride down the wild side with this humorous ballad of a sneaky alligator who's after her toes. Decidedly worth a listen.”
bluepenguin Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:

“Once you hear this song it will haunt you, but in a good way -- it just won't leave your head again until you play it!”
popelizbet Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:
Street Cred: 89 Rec's: 4
“Oh, the tango...with wildlife! This is a sweet and scary, funny and frightening dance tune, a hilarious tale of what happens when you're the only one that seems to notice or care that there's a large creature with large teeth taking over your house...”
skinnywhitechick Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:
Street Cred: 76 Rec's: 4
“A beautiful, if slightly demented tango! Dance teachers all over the country are using this track to teach their students. Just imagine trying to learn to tango, backwards, in heels, while giggling over this funny tune!”
mllelaurel Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:
Street Cred: 56 Rec's: 2
“This song seems silly at first, but there's a fascinating darker undercurrent to it. Either way, it's extremely catchy. ”

“An alligator doing a tango is an unlikely visual, but that's what runs through my head when I hear this song. Wonderfully fun little song. Everybody needs an alligator in the house!”
josiestraka Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:

“On the surface it a cute song, and deeper down it makes me wonder what the alligator really is... I always sing along to this one.”
alexandraerin Rec'd this on Jun 2, 2008:

“An evocative, addictive little tango... this song is certain to creep in through your cellar and eat all your biscuits and cakes.”
